One of the community projects we are most proud of is the setting up of the Submarine Charitable Trust.
The concept was born in November 2004 after a brainstorming session at Submarine. A quick investigation on search engines showed us that none of the charity organizations were using their websites for donation collection. Investigating Guernsey charities gave us the same result. No charities in Guernsey had the ability to collect donations via their websites.
Submarine Charitable Trust is acting as a facilitation service and, in effect, a Master Merchant passing the savings to the Guernsey charity industry.
